I’ve been seeing way too much water peeking through siding this week. In three separate homes this week I’ve been observing dark, oily, medium viscous ejected water. Notice it’s coming from the underside of overlapped wood siding. The best guess I’ve heard is moisture within the structure could be running over tar-paper, picking up pollutants and then finding an egress dribbles out onto the cladding. Any other ideas out there?
